A man after Mine Own heart

This was a part of my devotions this morning with Megyn. What does a person look like who says he's a follower of Christ? This is a good question.

I don't have to show people to please myself to make it known. My hope is they can't help but see it. It's also a choice we have to make to die daily. To things that are dead in the eyes of our heart. The person after God's heart is the person whose own heart seeks first the kingdom of God. Being faithful number one, thats an action. It was a description given of David; a man after God's own heart, committed to doing all of God's will.

Act 13:22 I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

Eph 6:6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

(Kardia) That word "heart" that presses into some very devotion type of lifestyle. There's a passion in worship for Him that is like being poured out like wine. A phase Oswald Chambers used. Commitment, a unconscienced willingness, to seeking Him.

Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Its a stance of discipline that is like clock work and automatic. Obedience that is the proof, of doing His will. Because it will shine thru you and will attract the unbeliever. It will open up them windows so you can be used for the sake of the Kingdom.
Acts of obedience empower the Holy Spirit. Thy will be done, its in His Word. Relationship means talking to someone, and a humbled character giving Him honor and praise. Forget not His benefits. Yes! He can't help but open the gates of Heaven and bless you.

Its what truly loving someone does. A yielded, surrendered, committed undying effort to please the Father and serve Him. One surely does this by simply seeking Him and fulfilling the commandment.

Mar 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
