Batter Up!
It's fantasy baseball season's drafting period now. To which I have been busy doing these last few weeks. To add more drama to the game. We have A-Rod admitting his use of drug enhancements. Why he finally came out of the closet with it is beyond me. But I hope it was a work of God in Him.
I remember him giving God the glory for all his success in baseball not to long ago. But then his behavior last season with his marriage going under. Then the running with the enemies agents in the likes of Madonna who embraces a sexual perverted spirit.
Its possible his praise was come to the test of what truly is in his heart. And it came out now more so being shouted from the house tops. It's sad he did not come out with the truth sooner. It is also a shame the ones who MLB singled out and ruined their careers and chance for the Hall of Fame. Were not held up as to be the scrap goats for MLB's own hindsight.
When the main evil was MLB, it's self. After the baseball strike where there was no World Series that year. The fans of baseball turned on following the game. The love of the game was replaced with greed. And the fans blamed the ball players. Which is a bit true to some point. But the fans did not help by still supporting MLB.
With the fall of support started effecting the investments of things that make the league. The drug use was on, the pressure, not hardly. It was the pursuit of a big salary for free agent years up coming. And MLB turned a blind eye to it, because records where being broken that shaped the game. And the TV camera's were back on the spot. And the race for the records getting prime time coverage and reviews.
Then MLB just goes thru the motions and makes sure they cover every base to protect their reputations. Then here you have it, the tainted years.
My hope was for A-Rod to being one who walked it right, but that was shattered. And who can we say will have a righteous claim to making a record mark in baseball following this kind of disgust? It will be some years before that can happen.
But really if we went back to some of the old timers that set the records. The same questions could be asked. Did they ever cheat? No one ever play a pure game all the way thru their careers. They all error-ed in some way, I'm sure.
But they had one thing different from the players of the last 25 years or so. They had a pure love for the game. Of course that may not be right either. The greed first came when the Yankees went after Babe Ruth. The caliber may differ, but the sin of greed was ever so present. Then came the house that Ruth built. Which is now gone, the Yanks will be playing on a new field this season, right across the street from ole Yankee Stadium.
One thing the Yankees have proved over all these years since that purchase. Is that you can buy a Championship, and you can even buy a way to the White House too. But yet, the rule "it takes money to make money" has different avenues when it comes to an economy. It depends on who has it, and what they do with it.
Love could fix a lot of the problems in this world. If it was done as God's will has designed its use.
