Adapting

Here in Chapter 2.

Daniel is facing being executed. Because King Neb has a dream and is told no one can tell him what he dreamed much less the interpretation to it. Which is quite a request in the first place. But this puts all the council of wise men in danger. Them King Neb has in sources he would refer to for help, if he ever fancy's the need. He was not pleased when he asked one for help concerning this dream.

Even though Daniel knows what he is up against in the character of King Neb and others under his command. Daniel shows his character, and uses the chain of command, proper channels and acting respectfully while not challenging any ones position of authority over him. And made his request for King Neb to give him a chance to fulfil what King Neb was requesting in reference to the dream. (2:16) after finding out what has endangered him and his 3 friends lives.

Dan 2:14 Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to Arioch the captain of the king's guard, which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon: :15 He answered and said to Arioch the king's captain, Why is the decree so hasty from the king? Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel. :16 Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king the interpretation. :17 Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions: :18 That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. :19 Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.

How I can relate this to what we have here in my day in leadership over this country. I can see some King Neb traits in Obama. He knows of our God, his guidance has not been spiritually rewarding, where he acknowledges Him, nor Jesus. His character is not to the ways and wills we see related in God's Word. His acknowledging God, are just words to say and not based in faith. His theology has been well know. As well as where he errors in the things of the Truth or being/claiming to be, a Christian.

On the same hand because of others who I feel have been lead astray. I can only point out the errors in reference to the ways of the Father. As well as the concern for a man lacking in the knowledge of Truth and them that surround him of the enemies realm. But with all that it does not mean I don't respect him in his authority, nor rebellious against his rule. My prayer is that he will see the Light.

(Back to Daniel)
We know that Daniel was a Intercessor, a man in relationship with God. It was the gift of the word of wisdom in operation we see at work in this Chapter, for him to know these things. The gift of faith was present here as well. Faith has no fear! Faith only functions in serenity, confidence, and peace. Here in Chapter 2 we see the first sign of this gift as well. Here we see Daniel operating in the Revelation & Power gifts.

We see his petitioned plan to his friends in (2:18) of their hope, and their faith. He urged them to plead for God's mercy. Then Daniel is given the vision and then his thanks, praise and worship to the Father for His providing and deliverance. Then Daniel acts on it and goes to King Neb and tells him the dream he had as well its interpretation.

Dan 2:20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: :21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: :22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him. :23 I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter.

Then this brings King Neb to his knees and he acknowledges the God of Israel. Later Neb has some issues with self and learns things the hard way, but really who hasn't did the same type of thing one way or the other.

Daniel shows the type of boldness we are to have in our mission. His faith, his pressing on into it and his trust and assurance in God to work thru him. We see the gifts of the Spirit in action in the book of Daniel.

(From my first points)
There's an important message from the book of Daniel. Like the times we face now, the message here is that we should spend less time wondering when future events will happen and more time learning how we should live now.

Our wisdom will be genuine when we are rightly related to God. We will see some change coming in these up coming times for sure. We can use the same principles as Daniel and them lived in captivity under King Neb's rule.

As did them folks, we must stand firm. I was presented some names while in prayer this morning. Facing things myself these names were placed in my thoughts; Shadrach, Meshech and Abed-Nego. I was pleased to fined as well they were the title of my devotion. I love it when things like this happen. It spoke to me about my faith in my petitions I had made to the Father. I could only answer it in my spirit man that I stand firm as those folks did no matter the outcome. Because my trust in the Lord and God is at work in these circumstances.

And praise Jesus, He brought it to come to pass today in his providing what we needed and then some. The petitioned prayer answered. His work in it had been revealed to me from when He was preparing me for this day. He gave me the wisdom that spared me from what could have been a deep burden of debt. Had I not made a Godly choice and sought His wisdom in a field of finance I had no knowledge of being involved in before. It pays to ask for wisdom and guidance in areas of living, no matter how big or how small. Glory be to the Father! To who I give thanks! Praise be His Name!

We must maintain our integrity, excel in our work and serve as we are too. Pray for God's help and guidance and trust in Him and lean not on our own understandings! We must adapt to the changes facing us or surroundings or circumstances without abandoning God's ways, will, promises, dedication to and love. Going on ones own strength is not strength at all, its error if your a child of God.

Note: The Prophecy parts of Daniel, I will be looking into before long but not on this entry.
